Here is the list of 10 best tablets of 2013. Refer this if you are planning to buy/gift a tablet.
No.1: iPad Air
The iPad Air is the 5th and newest edition of Apple’s 9.7 inch tablet. The tablet comes with only two major updates from its predecessor – weight and processor. These two virtues make the Air a worthy leader in the tablet scenario. The Air, just over a pound, is one of the lightest full-size tablet and the Air’s new 64bit A7 process that also powers the iPhone 5s bring in the power. The Air comes with 16 GB RAM with beautiful Retina display, rich selection of applications and a 9-10 hours of battery juice placing it on the No.1 Position under Top 10 Tablets of 2013.
No.2: Google Nexus 7
THE BEST AT BEST PRICE: The Google Nexus 7 is the best 7-inch tablet your money can buy ( although Kindly Fire HDX fans will likely disagree). Starting at $299 for 16 GB and Wi-Fi, the 2nd generation Nexus 7 has a beautiful 1920 x 1200 pixel screen. The Nexus comes with the latest Android KitKat, NFC, a 1.2-MP front camera and 5-MP rear camera. The power comes with the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and an Adreno 320 GPU. The tablet also comes with Google Services like Google Now, Search and much more. Also, Nexus is the first one to get all the Android updates.
Even though, Nexus 7 is smaller than the 7.9 inch Apple iPad Mini with retina display, but must note that it is $ 170 less for a comparably-equipped model.
No.3: Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display
The rise of Apple iPad Mini came from consumers who demanded a tablet which was easy to carry and grip. The iPad Mini with Retina display comes with 2048 x 1536 pixel screen, on par with the iPad Air. With a beautiful display, the iPad mini with Retina packs in more pixels per inch, 326 than the Air’s 264 ppi.
Priced at $329 ( and up), the 7.9 inch iPad Mini with Retina is powered with A7 CPU and M7 motion coprocessor making it one of the powerful tablets in the market. Even though it is expensive as compared to other tablets in the 7-inch category ( like Google, Amazon and others that start in the low $200s), the iPad Mini still holds the Top 3 Position.
No.4: Kindle Fire HDX
As they say, products priced less get more market. The Amazon seems to be doing the same with this latest android powered Kindly Fire HDX. The tablet comes at an affordable cost getting users to buy all kinds of products at its online store.
The reason this tablet sits at Top 3 position is because of this tremendous price value. The 7-inch Kindly Fire HDX comes with 1920 x 1200 pixel display making it at par with the new (and much pricer) Apple iPad Mini. This comes with 2.2Ghz quad-core processor and the new “Mayday” button offering the tablet users 27×7 access to live tech support.
The Amazon Kindly Fire HDX 8.8 weighs just 0.825 points with 2560 x 1600 pixel screen, which again is less than the slightly larger iPad Air.
The cost and the “Mayday” button being the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX to take the No. 4 position
No.5: Sony Xperia Tablet Z
Sony’s latest tablet is another member in the slim fast race with includes Apple iPad Air and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (1.19 pound). No.6: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
Samsung tablets deserve a serious consideration for people who are looking for pen computing. They have revamped stylus software offering Air Command, shortcuts that appear whenever you remove the “S Pen” stylus from its pouch or hover the pen over the screen and press a button on its side. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is on the expensive side with a price starting at $550 for 16 Gb with Wi-Fi. The only reason it sits on the 9th position is because of this price, which we think is little higher when compared with other tablets in the market.
No.7: Microsoft Surface Pro 2
Many say that Windows Surface Pro 2 is not a tablet, but a touch screen laptop running Windows 8 with an optional detachable keyboard. This can be said right as the Surface Pro 2 comes at a pretty much laptop like price starting with $899, hefty 2-pound weigh and powered by Intel Core i5 processor that allows it to run windows applications. Despite all of this, the Surface Pro 2 can be called a great tablet when used with a Surface pen stylus that makes it handy to fill forms and take notes.
It comes with Windows 8.1 and a 10.6-inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel screen. This may not be for everybody, but definitely for users who with hybrid needs.
