Hi, I’m Nikhil Sharma. By day, I’m the leading marketing for a global EdTech – which is a fancy way of saying I spend my time figuring out how to get AI, agentic AI, machine learning, data science and tech courses in front of people across Europe, Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Asia Pacific while juggling million $ budgets and praying the conversion math works out.
By night (and early mornings, and weekends, and that awkward 15 minutes between meetings), I run this little corner of the internet called Techie Tablet.
So what’s the deal here?
I’ve spent 18+ years in marketing for some of the biggest names around — Hyatt (I launched Andaz Delhi, the brand’s first property in India), Pearson, Nokia, India Today Group, and even dabbled with Ducati and BMW back in my agency days. I’ve seen the digital world evolve from basic SEO to AI writing half of Freshworks’ code. And somewhere along the way, I realized: the tech stories that matter most are the ones that make you say “wait, what?” — and then explain why it matters.
That’s what this blog is. No jargon-filled tech reviews. No clickbait. Just the stories behind the headlines — told the way I’d tell a friend over chai.
Things I actually know about (allegedly):
- AI & EdTech: I literally market AI programs. I also hold a PG in AI for Leaders from UT Austin. So yes, I can explain why your LLM is hallucinating. Mostly.
- Marketing that doesn’t suck: Demand gen, CRM, SEO, paid media — done it all, from $0 to global campaigns. Once listed among the Top 100 Smartest Digital Marketing Leaders (World Digital Marketing Congress, 2019). Not that I bring it up. Often.
- The Indian startup scene: I’ve watched it grow from flip phones to IPOs worth ₹47,000 crore. I write about what’s actually happening — not what the press release wants you to think.
- WordPress: Yes, I can break this site and fix it in the same afternoon. It’s a talent.
The three things nobody puts on their CV but probably should:
- I once managed marketing for 18 magazine titles simultaneously (including India Today, Readers Digest, Harvard Business Review, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, and Harper’s Bazaar). I learned more about human psychology in that role than any course could teach me.
- I built and trained marketing teams in Mexico and Brazil — in Spanish and Portuguese — without speaking either language fluently. Google Translate + determination = leadership.
- My BE in Electronics & Communication Engineering means I’m equally comfortable talking about semiconductor fabrication and why your Instagram Reel strategy isn’t working. The Venn diagram overlap is surprisingly large.
So why should you trust me?
You shouldn’t blindly. But you should know I’ve been in the room when billion-dollar decisions were made. I’ve launched brands, scaled programs across 20+ countries, and watched the industry flip from print ads to AI agents. I’ve made mistakes, learned from them, and written down what worked.
This blog is just me sharing those notes — with a dash of humor and zero corporate filters.
